"They" say you should only eat 300 extra calories a day while pregnant

Whoever came up with this guideline has clearly never been pregnant.

Recommended daily calories for a pregnant woman is 2,500 (300 more than 2,200 which is recommended for an average non-pregnant woman). Yesterday, I had 3,276. That is 1,076 calories more than recommended. Oh well.

Here's my menu from yesterday:
Breakfast: 2 slices of toast with butter

Mid morning snack: yogurt

Lunch: 2 pieces of bread with butter, shrimp tempura roll (6 pieces), grilled salmon, white rice

Mid afternoon snack: Giant Cookie from Starbucks
Dinner: Japanese curry over rice and salad (2 helpings)
Dessert: slice of lemon cake
In-between: about 10 pieces of gobstopper (not included in my caloric intake estimate)

Not included in my caloric estimate: salad dressing, butter, and any other condiments which would throw my calories way over what I want it to be
